Taste-Classic bourbon notes. Vanilla, corn, brown sugar and middle or the road oak/spice finish. A slight vegetal dry paper note accompanying the final aftertaste. The pot still and possible mash bill gives the uniqueness factor on this Ohio bourbon. Cocktail (Old fashion)- The vegetal farm note from the original taste comes through over the bitters and citrus. It’s not bad and it makes it memorable. The sweet vanilla and round pot still texture gets washed out with over dilution so try a big rock. I’m giving it an extra star because of the independent nature of the producer and I also live in Ohio. Go bucks!

A more fruity, leather and spice bookers this time around. Just wish it wasn’t so damn expensive. Oh well. Take my money yet again Mr Noe.

The higher proof really helps old no 7 stand up. As all jack Daniels products it’s basically the same recipe and process so releasing expressions at higher ABV is a great choice. All the regular flavors are here just ramped up. Banana, sugared peanut and more pronounced spice notes at the finish. It stands up very well in cocktails and due to the handsome bottle it would make a nice gift whiskey to that jack fan in your life.

This is just regular jack Daniels…I’m convinced. Drank it in a blind flight (No 7, Gentlemen, single barrel) and can barley taste the difference. Peanut, banana and a soft wood note. Slightly less flavor than standard No 7. If your a die hard jack fan I guess you should probably try it. Definitely not worth a 91 score.

Solid. No thrills and with the low rye mash it has nicely rounded mellow notes. Fruit and Carmel corn with some vanilla notes. A great entry bourbon. Not worth the scavenger hunt to find it though.

Perfect everyday Bourbon. Sweet, vanilla Carmel with a nice oak cinnamon finish that warms all the way down. 30 bucks a bottle is hard to beat for this type of flavor and balance.

Try the small 50ml bottle first. Musty Jameson if I had to pick a two word title.

Cherry and oak notes. Very sweet and medium finish. Not bad.

Oak and apple. Nice balance to the home bar. Makes me curious of other older expressions from this distilleries.

Smoke, salt, peaty pepper and a nice finish.
