Johnnie Walker Blue Label
Peated Blend — ScotlandTastedOverpriced, but still a wonderful whiskey that has earned it's reputation. I disagree with the tasters notes, but the flavor profile is accurate. My modest opinion is that there are better ways to spend your money, but you should taste it at least once. Full disclosure, I'm in that minority that minority that will not drink anything between JW Red and Blue. The other colors don't do it for me.
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedLight and sweet. This was the definitive single-barrel bourbon for years. I've had great bottles and not so great bottles. Sometimes a 5 sometimes a 2. Consistency has been enough of an issue for me that I've stopped buying it.
Fighting Cock 6 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedIn my opinion, the best of the high-proof bourbon. It's original vintage was better, but the 6-year is still solid!
Elijah Craig 18 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedLove this bourbon. I would say the tasting notes are accurate. This will be the only Elijah Craig product I buy now that the 12 year is out of production.
Elijah Craig 12 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedOne of my favorite spirits ever. A nearly perfect sipping bourbon. Haven't tried the new version of the blend without the 12 year designation, and I am skeptical that it will be the same quality.
Maker's Mark Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedGreat bourbon for all occasions as long as you like a sweet bourbon. Both easy and satisfying to drink, but will not thrill fans of spicy or smoky whiskeys.
