Underrated by this app (currently an 80 from critics and 4 stars from the metapublic) . Admittedly, I'm more of a whiskey and rum drinker but I think this is an amazing drink. Light, sweet and lovely. It practically glows on the tongue. Ambrosia. I prefer Hennessey XO, but not because there is anything wrong with Remy.

One of the best. I'm with those that say this is the gold standard for Scotch Whiskey. Grown unfortunately high-priced due to the booming interest in whiskey. Should still be tried at least once! I cannot agree with Stephanie Moreno's tasting notes on this or some other spirits, but I do agree with the flavor profile.

Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve (2009 Release)
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed October 14, 2016 (edited March 17, 2022)Expensive and unremarkable, even weak on flavor. Maybe the bottle I tried had been open too long because I can't agree with the tasting notes. Mostly, I was angry at the bartender who let me order this when I could have got a good Scotch or Cognac for the same price. -
Overpriced, but still a wonderful whiskey that has earned it's reputation. I disagree with the tasters notes, but the flavor profile is accurate. My modest opinion is that there are better ways to spend your money, but you should taste it at least once. Full disclosure, I'm in that minority that minority that will not drink anything between JW Red and Blue. The other colors don't do it for me.
