Tastes

As quebranta grapes are not aromatic, the nose and palate are more muted. Grape jelly and raspberry preserves nose. Red grape skins, white pepper, figs, and red wine. Clean, slick feel with a dry finish.

The mixture of 2 styles of brandy, Fine and Marc, really shines. Grappa style dominates the nose, while a cognac sweetness balances the palate. As I am not currently a grappa fan, it may take some getting used to. The sweetness does make it more approachable. It would be a perfect intro to either of the styles if you are a fan of the other. Robust grape skins, perfume paint (grappa), creamed honey.
