Wow. For me, this would be the ideal Islay scotch, if it was an Islay scotch. Yes, I have a bit of a childish sweet tooth. This is probably downright sugar syrup to a genuine peated scotch fan. But for me, the smack of iodine with the honeyed cereal finish hits all my buttons at once.

For it’s price, it’s perfect. You can have a coke and smoke without feeling like you spoiled anything. I have a deep suspicion that this is a batch that failed at being Ardbeg.

Lowering previous review, maybe because I’ve had too many single malts in the interim. After a few bottles of Laphroaig, this tastes dull and boring. Pepper is overwhelming at the finish.
