3.5+ stars Nose: Pleasant. Faint vanilla, Charred wood, Banana. Palate: Oily mouthfeel, Banana, buttered biscuits. Finish: Long. Wood, spice, and a bit of grilled pork fat. Overall: A little one-note with banana on the nose and palate, but the palate is thicker than the nose suggests and the finish is longer and more spicy than the palate lets on, so this one is a bit surprising at every turn. Perfect late summer dram.

It makes for a fantastic dessert dram with your pie of choice and vanilla ice cream.
