Deanston Virgin Oak
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 29, 2021 (edited April 11, 2022)I’m pretty new to the whiskey scene, so don’t take my word for it… This is definitely one of the best whiskeys I ever tasted for my inexperienced tongue. Nose: Soothing vanilla Palette: Like honey on the tongue. Kicking sweetness, yet not too intense. Round and creamy. Finish: I was left with a mild aftertaste of oak on my tongue. Smokey breath exiting through my nose. Finish was quite brief, though, which I enjoyed. It was definitely a great sensation, worth the while.
