Tastes

Vinous with red berries on the nose. Marker on the back end with ethanol boiling off. Sweet oak with loads of oak at the end. Highly charred with some birch as well. Lower sweetness than I expected with some mineralic finish. Liquid oak.

Even fuller and richer than regular Blanton's with more viscosity and less simple heat. More fresh wood (pine-like), sweet caramel, marshmallows and pepper.

Viscous, oily and spicy. Way more heat than the 80 proof Buffalo Trave we got here. White pepper, simple sugars, chili and caramel.

Most likely a Swedish No. 1 rebrand of MPG high-rye bourbon malt bill. Vinous with red wine barrels on the nose. Some caramel, soil and nail polish, but overall, extremely little nose on this. Drinks surprisingly easily for ABV with just some of that nail polish against the brown sugar and caramel. Feels very watered down. Very non-offensive and probably an OK baby's first bourbon, but I prefer my spirits to be flavoured.

Way more black pepper and chili than what I am used to on my padawan palate. Guessing it is the rye. Smoke, warmth and a proper sipper.

Sweet banana and baking spice on the nose. Sweet caramel, fudge, cloved and loads of banana peels. Not my cup of tea

Aroma of bakers cocoa and apricots. Fantastic nose right fron the pour. First sip is very fruit forward with yellow stone fruits, pineapple, mild nutmeg and warming ethanol. Very sweet mild oak.

Mild hot cocoa and marker on the nose. Vanilla, sweet and low charred oak. Cocoa at the back. Rhis could be my new go-to

Loads of sweet red berries and vanilla on the nose. Warming ethanol (for a novice like myself). Cocktail cherries, vanillin, dry wood, white pepper and some wasabi-like harshness at the back.

Earthy pepper spice. Sweet vanilla, cloves, hay and burning ethanol.
