Tastes

Quite hot, it really benefits from a few drops of water. High rye, mostly spicy and heavy earth flavors. After the water, caramel comes out in the nose. Subtle notes of char and leather on the finish.

This whiskey's main flavor profile is the barrel and the corn. It's not oaky, but char. It's a good flavor but it's a little overwhelming in this bottle. It's very smooth compared to other Jack Daniel's, but not a lot going on. Not bad, not great.

Very mellow and smooth, flavor is similar to the Weller line, namely the white label. If you've never had a wheated whiskey, it's not too far from a Canadian. Not the most flavorful, but not bad by any means.
