Barrell Dovetail (122.9 Proof)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in) Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 9, 2023As good as bourbon gets. The best bourbon whiskymaker i know of, creating new flavors and bottling at cask strength. Lovely minerality from the agricultural (?) rum and berry notes from the port mix with standard borbon flavors -
GlenAllachie 10 Year Cask Strength Batch 6

Arran 2009 Bridgeton Burns Club 150th Anniversary
Single Malt — Isle of Arran, Scotland
Reviewed February 17, 2023Nice viscosity but flavor is poorly integrated very spirity garbage -
After oxidation, dont get the putrid auchentoshan note but still the peat notes tastes bad. Doesnt compare to any good peated dram, not even decent blends like compass box peat monster or johnnie double black. The problem with talisker is that until you get a more aged expression, theyre just total shit. And even the 25 yr isnt a grand slam
