No bueno. But not the worst tequila I’ve ever had. Peppery and sweet and lots of ethanol. Can’t imagine how sixk I would be, though, if I had more than a sip.
It’s not going to overwhelm you with smoke, but there is plenty of smoke and agave flavor for sipping. I agree that this is on the milder end of mezcals but it does not feel too watery or thin. Good for sipping or in a mezcal margarita.
Very heavy nose. I definitely get the orange peel and the vanilla notes. Medium complexity. Alcohol burn is negligible. It’s a pretty good single malt, but not probably something I would reach for regularly. The fruity notes are a little too strong.
Not too bad. Definitely get sweet vanilla and spicy oak in good quantities initially, but then it thins out toward the finish. Not the most complex sipper, but great for a cocktail and not too harsh.
It’s a far cry from it’s black labelled brother but still drinkable. I get barely any nose. It’s on the thin and watery side by lots of alcohol heat, sweetness, and peat. Probably best to keep as a mixer.
Very little on the nose. This was purchased because 90% of the bottle is going to be used to make a homemade infusion, so we wanted something neutral bur would not taste cheap. I think this fits the bill well. You could sip it without wincing, but it works best as a mixer.
It’s unsurprisingly a very artificial chocolate taste. I’m actually surprised that could not gwt closer. If you were in a pinch and needed to make a brandy alexander then maybe use it, but it has some weird fruity ester aftertastes to it.
First of all, I don’t really like peanut butter and this does have a lot of peanut butter flavor. But a friend of mine loves it, and the creamy texture of the whiskey does work. The flavor profile is just not for me.
