Tullamore D.E.W. 10 Year Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed November 24, 2014 (edited October 4, 2017)If Newton had been a drunk, he would‘ve loved this one. Have an orange marmalade toast in freshly laundered robe beside his favourite tree. A mix of earthy tones and dried apricot. And some pineapple. The nose is definitely quite intriguing and better than the underwhelming tangy palate. -
Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 24, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Monkeys smell like the working class, but taste like a patissier. A grainy bouquet of home-made beer, bread and chalk (& pear on the horizon) is greeted by a sweet palate of caramel, toffee and candy. -
Glenfiddich 15 Year Solera Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 23, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Smooth and fruity. Notes of Panettone raisin cake, Christmas pudding, some Haribo bears, polenta, candy, kvass and ice tea. Then some whiff of laudry, stone, rainy dog's fur in the background.
