This bourbon is not worth the price tag in my eyes. I’d rather buy new riff they at least age their bourbon for four years

If you are buying this bourbon with the mindset you are going to taste something groundbreaking or out of the normal standards to what is expected from Kentucky straight bourbon you will be disappointed. But go into the dram with the mindset of these are going to be aromatics and palate notes that I’m very familiar with and to be considered friends and new riff will give you something that is an well crafted, patient welcome addition to the Kentucky straight bourbon family. If you want something different from them try their experimental series like Winter Wheat whiskey. I would buy again. Great value. Would pick over old bardstown bottled in bond!

If you enjoy the other Basil Hayden brands you are going to love this! If you are not a fan or on the fence about their other release try it at a bar or a liquor store sampling. I personally have not been a huge fan of their past release, but I will say I do enjoy this a bit. Basil Hayden has always been bourbon light in my eyes. But this has more depth, aroma and a palate worthy being expressed at least once on every bourbon lover’s tongue. This will not be a constant purchase for me. But I think at least once a year particularly dog days of summer sipper. Light enough to sip all day aromas and a palate that will make you look forward to fall.

Aroma is salty, peanuts, toffee walnuts and banana bread little black pepper and maple Rich, oily, full and but on the lighter end of that all for the mouthfeel Palate transfers a lot of that over but plus apples. It’s hot, but it makes a good sipper. 100% will buy this again and to get at a place in walking distance for $11.99 🤣

Solid Rye! Very promising young distillery out of Missouri. Hope to see non sourced products sooner than later.

Great product from an newer distillery! I can’t wait to see what they are putting in a few more years when they consistently produce rye 4 years old and older.
