Tastes

My bottle is 54.8%, small batch, so slightly(?) different than this. I couldn't find one here that matched exactly.

The neck pour came out strong, blasting with potpourri. Things have calmed down a bit, but still reveal a smooth woody vanilla cinnamon/spice. Picked this up in KY - not available here, that I've ever seen (WI). I prefer more of a 'darker' profile, but this was nice, and for $40 or less this is we'll worth a try. Maybe I should do the taste test before saying this, but a sophistocated Old Grand-dad Bonded comes to mind.

11/14/2021. Sweet; rich. For a rye, not really what I expected. Strange flavor, but enjoyable enough. Good spice.

11/13/2021. Liquor Barn. Update:: found a bottle, so can finally dig in. Nose: amazing. Apple and leather, as described. Palette however disappoints. Wheateds that I've had have a 'cool'ness, a smoothness, that I love. This did not. Seemed rough/harsh. Note: my original taste/sample seemed quite sweet and smooth as I recall. Hmmmm...
