Tastes

Found it very hot without a lot of flavor. Would have liked to try it with a drop of water, but for my money, I'll stick to my less expensive standards.

Sweet, vanilla, not hot at all, comforting, and buttery. Light spiciness of ginger. Kinda similar to Glen Mornagie, though I don't get the fruitiness GM has. Maybe a hint of smoke?

Spicy as a bourbon. Similar to the Burnside Bourbon, but without the strong alcohol astringency and heat.

Very good. Deep and heavier without incredibly strong tannins. Honey, creaminess, some brightness. Like a more subdued version of The Original. One reviewer described it as an amplified version of The Original.

Despite getting all of the tasting notes given here, I don't feel that this one is quite as complex as The Original Glenmorangie. Many of the notes bleed into one another, and the palate really blends together. Much hotter and warmer on the tongue than the 10 Year, but with the a similar slightly spicier finish. Dark red fruit, tobacco taste, ripe sweetness rather than plain honey, slight hints of chocolate. Finish carries much longer.

Deep, strong, intense, sweet but rich, silky in texture. Red fruit but nothing specific, Hints of chocolate and mint Much longer finish, Not as creamy as the 10 Year.

Lemon rind, citrus, honey, incredibly easy drinking whisky, sweet, very complex, a lot to mull over, a lot I'm not catching, but not quite as deep or as dark as I would have expected, despite its chardonnay color. Not sure that I appreciate a light and easy drinking whisky as much as many, but the complexity of the body and the finish are worthy of 4 stars.
