I thought the nose was well rounded with heavy oak, vanilla, and butterscotch. That was about the end for me as I felt the rest fell a bit flat. On the pallet, it was almost nonexistent for me, which was a bit of a letdown after the nose. The finish was short and had little flavor. Not a bad bourbon, but seemed middle of the road for me.

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 19, 2022 (edited November 26, 2022)Not much on the nose. Maybe a little spice, vanilla. Palate has vanilla, butterscotch, and a hint of spice. Finish is nice and mild. But more spice that lingers a bit for a little ending hug. Definitely a solid bottle. Would always grab one if you can find it in the wild anymore. -
This is a nice batch. ECBP continues to put out great bottles at a good price (even secondary pricing isn’t bad) Didn’t get much out of the nose, but the palate was full of maple syrup, butterscotch, vanilla. And for the proof, there is hardy any burn. Just great flavors. Would always recommend grabbing any batch if you see them. For me, it rarely disappoints.

Benchmark Full Proof Bourbon (125 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 10, 2022 (edited September 18, 2022)First time having this. Upon opening the nose was heavy vanilla, caramel, butterscotch bomb. Mostly the same on the palate after tasting. Finish wasn’t overly hot for 125 proof and was a nice hug This isn’t going to win any awards, but for $22 this can be on my shelf anytime for the value. -
Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Nevada), USA
Reviewed March 25, 2022Batch 124 (first time having this) Not picking up much in the nose. Palate- very smooth- caramel, butterscotch, vanilla. Finish is great. Little heat, but just right for the higher proof. Would definitely buy another bottle.
