Amazing Apple/pear nose, subtle and sweet at first with a smooth finish. Slight burn with no water, but not bad for a cask strength. Slight tartness with water but still very nice

Absolutely incredible, so dynamic and smooth. Even straight up it's just fantastic, rich lush and bold, built for that heavy cigar smoke. This is a home run

Hot and sweet without water, with water it's got a little spice and it's still hot on the lips. Tastey but only if you like that rye fire

That nose.... sweet but confusing, almost smokey but not quite? it's definitely there but so much more going on that it confused me. With no water, it's a touch hot but also very satisfying. it doesn't burn badly and has a lot of flavor even with the heat. WOW, a drop of water sets off the non solubles like crazy, hot and firey. with about 4 half straw fulls of water, the nose is distinctly smokey, hint of heat of you go real deep but also fruit and rich. that first taste then is much much smoother, very dynamic, hot on the tongue for a moment but complex and reminds of liquorice? fully watered, about 6 straw fulls, nose is very light and floral. the taste is crazy smooth and slightly smokey, hint of sweet and caramel dried fruit. very very very good

this year was my first tasting the stagg, my best friend and future best man got it for me and it changed my world.

the nose is officially incredible, wow. if you like Scotch at all, this is insane, like crazy good, next level shit

spicy hot, tangy with a pinch on that upper lip without water. with just a tick of water it mellows considerably, much smoother and the flavor opens up. Slight sweet with a hint of dried fruit. holy cow, with a 70/30 water crazy smooth and easy to drink, the boat nose is light and sweet, almost floral. brown sugar and molasses. still drinks great with it without water. great bourbon

the nose is sweet, raisin and dried fruit. thick and rich, just enough heat maybe asking for a drop of water but still totally drinkable. very good
