Wild Turkey Rare Breed 112.8 Proof
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 24, 2019 (edited February 14, 2020)Caramel and chocolate on the nose before the ethanol shows up. The alcohol burn hits the tongue pretty quick. A lot of spice. It’s definitely tastier after breathing a bit. Fruity, lots of rye spice. -
The nose has a lot of sweetness, maybe caramel with a hint of vanilla. maybe a bit of sawdust as it opens up. The alcohol burn in the nose hits in a few seconds. The burn lingers for a bit. Astringency is moderate. It’s really sweet at first sip, and quickly switches to spice. Apple at first quickly switches to cinnamon.
