You can get more depth out of a Cragganmore or Craigellachie. There's too much sherry in this one to really enjoy the whisky itself. Delicious if you enjoy sherry, don't get me wrong, but not much depth for the price.

Absolutely wonderful, tasting notes are spot on. If you take your time with this one you'll find much, much more hidden in the smoke. A little expensive but worth it.

My first encounter with peat smoke. Just enough to keep the alcohol burn at bay. Smokey with a little salty brine, a hint of sweetness, the right amount of oiliness to coat your mouth with a peppery tingle, and a smooth and lasting smoky finish. Earthy all the way through. The taste and smell remind me of fishing on the banks. Overall great whisky. If you’re new to peat smoke I think this is one to try. Delicious.

Sherry smell, sherry taste, sherry on the back end. I found out I’m not a fan of sherry with this one. Objectively, 4 stars. Solid scotch, very smooth for a 12 year old, very easy to drink. If you like it sweet you should definitely give this a taste. Personally, 2 stars. Because sherry.

Tasty and smooth, though maybe a tad expensive for how good it really is.
