Tastes

Alcohol, sweetness and just a hint of cherry. Pretty smooth. Not super interesting as a whiskey, but would be an improvement over vodka in most drinks.

Nose: marshmallows and rubbing alcohol. Palate: caramel, honey, touch of citrus. Very sweet. Smooth.

Nose: vanilla and toffee with a bit of apple. Palate: more vanilla, caramel, spices, some oak and a hint of something grassy. A bit of clove sneaks in at the end. If they made a candle that smelled like Makers, I would own twenty.

Being from Denver, I've had the opportunity to try a number of different batches. They've ranged in quality from passable to exceptional. The bottle of batch 165 I have in front of me falls into the "passable" category. Neat, you're met mostly with rubber, but with a bit of water that opens up into oak, vanilla and carbon with a little spice in there to boot. I'll definitely be drinking this one on the rocks.

Apples and almonds nose. Oak and fruit palate with a bit of bitter cinnamon. Smooth and balanced.

Like drinking wood. Only not as good as that sounds.

Fresh cut lumber and citrus on the nose. Rich mocha and orange on the palate. Lasting spicy finish. Lovely.
