Tasting Notes
"Bottled at 90 proof the most prominent aromas are the saffron and orange peel. The palate is a bit muddled with menthol, stone fruits, straw, and heaps of baking spices. For a rye it is more soft and sweet than bold and spicy. Other botanicals that make an impression are cinnamon, clove and allspice. oregano, coriander and dried mint as well as tea botanicals are also detected. This is a very polarizing whiskey-- you will either love this or hate it. Recommended to use in cocktails such as Old-Fashioneds, hot-toddies, and whiskey sours with spiced simple syrups like honey-cinnamon or vanilla-nutmeg. "
