Bit of barrel spice with a rich molasses and cinnamon apple note. Very good for anyone wanting to explore single barrel and cask strength territory. Note mine WAS a store pick but still is one of my personal favorite bourbons.

Rich with up-front barrel spice. Not particularly sweet. If you're a person who frequently uses black pepper this is your bourbon.

Vanilla, barrel spice, cherry. Well balanced and an easy sipper. Underpriced IMO.

Candied nuts and occasionally I get something like a ripe red apple. Definitely an outlier both among bourbon due to its distillation and flavor profile and among Balcones products because of its relatively low proof. This is one of their most accessible products and my personal favorite.

Very well-balanced islay. If you add a bit of water to get the peat and iodine to step down slightly, you can truly appreciate the prominent sweet, peppery, meaty taste.

Coffee and dark chocolate, if you sample from a glencairn you may get a smell akin to fresh-toasted hawaiian rolls.
