Tastes

To start I taste dark chocolate and oak. The alcohol was smooth and not biting. Then came cherry and some smoke taste. The finish was long and the cherry really popped out with hints of the dark chocolate (or the start is just stuck in my mind 😎). Totally Worth It!! Note: There were no tags for dark chocolate or cherry. FYI

On the nose I get charred oak predominantly. At the first sip I get carmel and sugar. It moves to a cinnamon finish with overtones of the char. I can taste the rye in a hint of spice through the sip. A worthy bourbon but I look forward to this mash bill getting more of an oak soak! I got this bottle as a gift. Thank you Rob!!!

I get a pepper smell and then a spicy rye beginning and finish. It stays true all the way through. I get no alcohol bite whatsoever. It's okay.

It has a very distinct burnt marshmallow smell that carries through to the finish. If you told me this I would say I wouldn't like it but after tasting it I find it novel and worth the pour.

Has the bite of higher proof with an oak beginning with kind of a cherry finish. I enjoy the experience. I recommend with ice.

I just like this, especially when it is warm or hot out. The flavor starts woody and finishes with a pleasing taste I have not fully identified. Some call it a Wheat finish so I'll go with that until I make my mind up!

The bottled proof brings the bite. The subtle flavors can be hidden by that. Try pouring it on the rocks with the splash on top to bring out the flavor.
