Tastes

Very interesting for a bourbon. To me it has an initial taste of buttery popcorn, with caramel and some raisin notes. If there was such a thing as a dessert bourbon, this is it. Tasty.

A very nice rye. Not available in stores. I have been told they are discontinuing it to concentrate on their rum. A shame as I think they need to make room for this too.

Very smooth and somewhat sweet. Like a good fruitcake with nuts. The cognac adds a distinctive flavor. I was lucky enough to have a couple of small drams at a book signing.
