Larceny Small Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 25, 2018 (edited April 20, 2019)Aroma is full of butterscotch and oak, along with that browned butter and burnt sugar note I get with most Heaven Hill whiskies. Palate is rich and creamy, lots of vanilla and caramel, brown sugar, cherry syrup, with a little prickly spice at the end. A very underrated wheated bourbon IMO. -

Loaded with all sorts of vanilla dessert flavors and aromas: buttercream frosting, vanilla frosting, creme brûlée, vanilla pound cake, etc. so many complex wood notes. I can nose this for hours, I’ve never encountered a more complex and appealing nose than this! -

Henry McKenna 10 Year Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 22, 2018 (edited November 8, 2018)Aroma: alcohol, oak, a little burnt sugar, leather Palate: hotter than two rats fuckin in a wool sock on a tin roof, even with a splash of water, oak, a little caramel, corn, a hint of rye I’m honestly not that into it. The quality is definitely there, just not really blowing my skirt up.
