Aroma: rye (duh), browned butter, buttered toast, homemade caramel, vanilla, Mtn Dew(?) Palate: vanilla, oak, baking spices aplenty, Mediterranean spices, lemon peel

Aroma: buttered popcorn, butterscotch, rye, toasted marshmallow Palate: marshmallow, caramel, rye, oak, spices

Aroma: peach cobbler, baking spices and all, cherries, rye, red apples Palate: some heat, caramel, toffee, lots of butterscotch Long spicy cherry finish

Aroma: red apples, rye, caramel, a little cinnamon and cherry Palate: caramel, cherry coke, Dr Pepper , a bit of rye and cinnamon Medium to full bodied with a long warm finish. Not as cherry heavy as the single barrel I had.

Aroma: vanilla, caramel, mellow oak and a little orange peel Palate: smooth and delicious, lots of vanilla, butterscotch, caramel, a touch of rye and oak. Light to medium bodied, very nice well rounded bourbon

Aroma: spicy rye, butterscotch, vanilla, oak Palate: very spicy rye, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon candy Finish: still spicy with a backing of vanilla and a little caramel Medium bodied

Aroma had notes of toasted marshmallows, rye, and tobacco with some orange peel and vanilla in the background. The palate had more toasted marshmallow along with a hint of cappuccino, some softer rye spice and orange peel, with a short vanilla and caramel finish. Very silky and velvety, it is a different and interesting expression of Old Forester.

The nose is deep and heavy with rye bread, dill pickle juice, and pepper, very acidic and juicy. When freshly opened it has a bandaid medicinal note that dissipates after some air. The palate is spicy and rich, more distinct dill pickle spices as well as Mediterranean herbs like thyme and oregano. The finish stays very herbal but also has a hint of vanilla. Very full bodied.

Big notes of cinnamon candy, Big Red gum, and cherry cola on the nose this time. Palate continues the cinnamon gum and has an almost cherry losenge medicinal thing happening. Finish is warm and prickly, with the cherry losenge flavor carrying on well into the sunset...
