Jim Beam Signature Craft Triticale Bourbon 11 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted March 31, 2021I get a good amount of brown sugar on the nose, with some hints of cereal grain attached. The palate consists of mainly cereal grains from the nose mixed with some pepper that tickles the palate. The finish is quick and dry, leaving the pepper notes of the palate as the dominant expression. Absolutely enjoyable, only the finish leaves something to be desired due to the richness of the notes that are apparent on the nose and palate.33.99 USD per Bottle
Jefferson's Very Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted March 26, 2021Everything about this bourbon is "little". There is a little bit of vanilla and maybe butter on the nose. The palate has little notes of the same, with a hint of pepper and corn added in. The finish is basically nonexistent. Nothing off-putting, but nothing remarkable or memorable.34.99 USD per Bottle
Camus vs elegance cognac
Cognac — Cognac, FranceTasted March 24, 2021Lots of fruit on the nose, especially honeycrisp apples and white grapes. Palate has more orchard fruit notes, apples and pears, along with tannins from the barrel. Only disappointment is that the finish is quick and does not leave a lasting impression.
Jack Daniel's Old No. 7
Tennessee — Tennessee, USATasted March 2, 2021Lots of banana and vanilla on the nose, a small hint of corn mash. These notes carry over to the palate as well without much complexity being added. There is some very faint heat and spice that moves from the palate through to the finish. Overall, nothing more than your standard Jack, but that does not mean there is anything wrong with it either. Simple, but satisfying.
Weller Antique 107
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted March 2, 2021So yummy! Lots of vanilla and butterscotch on the nose, which then give way to some dried fruit and baking spices on the palate. The finish provides more spice and a slight herbal note. Overall very enjoyable.14.0 USD per PourWhiskey Kitchen
Uncle Nearest 1856 Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee — Tennessee, USATasted February 28, 2021Such a good pour! Lots of caramel and butterscotch on the nose. Vanilla owns the palate, with some baking spice kicking in. The finish is balanced with the vanilla fading and some oak spice taking over. Overall reminds me of Noah's Mill.14.0 USD per Pour
Black Maple Hill Limited Edition Purple Label
Bourbon — Oregon, USATasted February 23, 2021Kind of a strange pour. A very faint nose, but you pick up hinta of floral notes, cloves, and perhaps even fresh dough. The palate starts off with the same floral notes from the nose and then adds some vanilla and some oak spice. Finish fades quickly and is quite dry. Reminds me most of the Willett Pot Still, but not as engaging.89.0 USD per Bottle
Rye — Illinois, USATasted February 19, 2021Not much of a rye person, but this was an enjoyable pour. Lots of citrus on the nose, along with some hints of vanilla. The palate quickly turns to spice and has a dry finish, much like a red wine, along with some floral notes.
Single Malt — Highland, ScotlandTasted February 17, 2021Some fruit, maybe honeydew melon, on the notes. Palate starts off with some spicy notes and then shifts to apples and vanilla, and then dark fruit and a hint of more spice at the finish. Had as a sample, but would not purchase.
New Riff Kentucky Straight Bourbon Bottled In Bond
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATasted February 12, 2021Lots of classic vanilla and caramel notes on the nose. The palate gives you a big dose of rye spice, with some hints of wood and maybe tobacco (think cigar box), with the spice continuing on through the finish. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin, but not at all unpleasant. Overall a nice pour.39.99 USD per Bottle
