Knob Creek Small Batch Bourbon (NAS)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 24, 2018 (edited June 17, 2018)Knob Creek is average, but sometimes average is what you are looking for. I taste some vanilla and oak and the finish leaves a slight burn. Solid overall. -
My favorite bourbon that I’ve tried in my short time in the bourbon tasting world. The nose is amazing with tons of vanilla and cinnamon. I think the nose beats the taste on this one. OWA has a thick mouthfeel with a cinnamon burn on the back end. But it’s a good, warming burn. Smooth for a slightly higher proof.

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 24, 2018 (edited March 1, 2020)One of the best values in the bourbon world. $49 dollars for a bourbon that beats many double it’s price. The corn note on the first sip is unique and welcome. Then you taste the tobacco strong and heavy with the lighter vanilla and spice notes. The finish is long and satisfying. Well done!
