Excited to try this celebrity whiskey, picked up a bottle earlier at total wine. On the Nose: Really nice deep salted caramel note Palate: nice thick butter and cinnamon texture. I’m a fan of that really nice thicker taste like eating a cake or caramel in something Finish: lots of smooth toffee and and a great spice I really liked this. It was a shelf pick at total wine and specs Heard a lot of good things about Heavens door, I can say it will be a new favorite of mine.

On the nose: I get a great feel of a bag of chestnuts and spices Palate: very fruity almost like a strawberry and cinnamon red hot flavor Finish: A really nice yet simple Banana and nutmeg flavor in the exhale Really nice high proof Rye for that cool night. This was a bottle I didn’t see on Distiller but happened to be a Total Wine pick. Very solid overall and gives that great spiced flare.

Been a fan lately of Penelope series. Got the chance to try the toasted. On the nose: Deep walnut, Cherry Palate: Brown sugar, Sweet Rye Finish: Has a tangy, almost orange finish. Could have done more with the flavor on the finish. But otherwise of your a higher proof fan or love rye, I really enjoyed this one.

Had this a while, getting a chance to review it. On the nose: Floral, I describe it like fresh cut grass. Palate: Melon, and Lemon Finish: Spring minty fresh taste, Spiced lemon pepper Really good rye, lots of citrus I was noticing, definitely love that lemon and grass scent on the nose.

Gave this a couple nights of trying it to make a fair review. So here are my thoughts. On the nose: Strawberry with hints Orange Palate: Super weak and not much to find in the taste. Finish: Really doesn’t finish well and has a strange tangy taste to it. Overall not really a fan of this bottle. I’ve heard hit and miss with Basil Hayden but as a fan of fruit and floral whiskeys, I definitely didn’t like this one.

Best used as a mixture or base spirit in cocktails.

Finally got a chance to try this. Great color, overall pretty good hard to tell what the finish was for me at least. But here’s my personal experience. On the nose: Citrus and vanilla Palate: Buttercream and fruit Finish: Coffee and spices

A really solid bourbon. Nice dark rich amber color with a nice vanilla spice scent really solid linger on the finish

On the Nose: Deep sweet caramel Palate: Sweet, Butterscotch Finish: Minty rye, Spiced sweetness

On the nose: Vanilla, Sweet, Caramel Palate: Brown sugar Finish: Cinnamon, Toffee Oak
