If you like MGP ryes, and who doesn’t, then this is another totally enjoyable pour to be cherished more and more after every sip. Toasted barrel finish on this 116.2 proof rye adds a softening, marshmallow finish after an initial hot rye slap to your taste buds.

Ghill already noted the source + many details. Overall pleasant sipper. Nose needs some air to open up. Fairly smooth, with lots of caramel and butterscotch. No taste surprises. The longer I sit here and sip while considering this pour, the more I am enjoying it. Not a long finish, but that is when I notice some oak and cake spice. I like it.

Nose is all sweet pancakes and syrup. You’ll notice a bit of heat from the 105 proof on your first taste, followed by a wide flood of warm, buttery pancakes and a tad of banana bread that lingers on for a nice long time. Really pleasant experience.

To me, B520 is about as good as it gets! Tried a C batch that I didn’t like at all, but B520, for those that enjoy higher proofs, has everything you want in bourbon: great nose, mouth feel, long finish, and such depth of flavor.

103 octane = a bit of heat up front. Brown sugar, caramel, tobacco, leather and a little vanilla and nut in the overtones. Fairly long finish where you get more tobacco and leather. Very pleasant overall and does not taste like a young bourbon = More complex than expected. Amazing first release. Second release should be around December.

Super oily and busting with flavor: very smooth for such a high proof. Nose is caramel and butterscotch. Spice is the first flavor noticed. Light spearmint, vanilla and sweet caramel then flow across your tastebuds. Long warm finish of lightly burnt caramel.

This is my favorite Weller pour to date. The hotter proof wasn’t that noticeable as the rich notes of vanilla, spices, and caramel coated my mouth and delighted my tastebuds with the most pleasant combination of taste. The finish was extra long and pleasant.

Really smooth with lots of vanilla and carmel flavor notes. Sweet = yes. Little burn, as expected at just 80 proof. Finish is fairly quick. Great choice for someone new to bourbon because it is so enjoyable but not complex. First experience was a pleasant one.

Spicy nose is inviting. Burnt caramel, red hots, red wood and cedar notes. Lingers long on the palette after each sip. It has a hot edge at the start of each sip when drinking neat.
