Ghill already noted the source + many details. Overall pleasant sipper. Nose needs some air to open up. Fairly smooth, with lots of caramel and butterscotch. No taste surprises. The longer I sit here and sip while considering this pour, the more I am enjoying it. Not a long finish, but that is when I notice some oak and cake spice. I like it.

WH. McBrayer Bourbon Whiskey Small Batch Barrel Strength
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Tasted July 3, 2021103 octane = a bit of heat up front. Brown sugar, caramel, tobacco, leather and a little vanilla and nut in the overtones. Fairly long finish where you get more tobacco and leather. Very pleasant overall and does not taste like a young bourbon = More complex than expected. Amazing first release. Second release should be around December. -
"Very surprising, as it is much more complex than I expected. You certainly notice the rye, but beyond that there is a wonderful combo of different flavors. Not hot, but there is multiple spice notes while also having a sweet edge. Was he the ‘king of the bootleggers’? I don’t know, but this MGP product is very pleasant to sip and enjoy all night long. "
