Glen Garioch 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 29, 2014 (edited March 16, 2016)Sweet almost floral. Fairly one note. Very warm (the high proof helps). A hint of citrus. -
Lagavulin Distillers Edition
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 29, 2014 (edited March 8, 2017)The 1996 edition is fantastic. Liquid fire and smoke with hints of salted caramel and spices. The 1997 loses a lot of the salted caramel taste, much 'chewier' than the 1996. More meaty, less sweet. Still smooth, just savoury.
