Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-02 "Shiny Barrel Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 6, 2021Nose: cinnamon, fresh cut wet oak, light vanilla Taste: Surprisingly low alcohol taste for a high proof. Spicy boiled peanuts, hot chicken in peanut oil, a little sweetness of brown sugar mor sweet potato fries. Finish: Spicy aftertaste leading into rich oak, as it slowly turns into a medium-low Kentucky hug down the throat. Overall a lot like 2020-01 but less peanut and more spice.90.0 USD per Bottle -

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Tennessee Whiskey
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed January 14, 2021 (edited January 29, 2021)Nose: Vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of banana like classic Jack Daniels. Palate: oak, spice, light peanut, with a smooth charred banana finish. Overall a very different bottle of barrel proof. Smoother drinking than others I’ve had, but lacking the complexity of others as well. Bottled 2-18-2019 -
Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Nevada), USA
Reviewed January 9, 2021 (edited February 26, 2021)Nose: chocolate covered cherries and orange, tiny bit of rye. Palate: matches the nose, velvety sweet, moves into red licorice, cinnamon spice, and finishes with an okay char and lighter rye. Drinks like a 90 proof bourbon, unbelievably blended with little to no ethanol burn. Finish: lingering char and sweetness, much like Woodford Double Oak. Overall with a price of $69.69, it can’t go wrong. Fantastic blend and well done Smoke Wagon, looking forward to trying more.69.0 USD per Bottle -
Nose: Vanilla, citrus, and buttercream frosting. Palate. Starts with a sweetness of Carmel and vanilla that splashes into little bits of spicy cinnamon with a real maple syrup mouthfeel. Finish. It has a very spicy finish that is almost like a warm fire that rolls off the tongue into your chest. With water the nose is more pronounced, and the palate becomes heavy charred oak- like a higher rye spice Woodford double oak.

Little Book Chapter 4: Lessons Honored
Blended American Whiskey — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 2, 2021 (edited June 26, 2021)Opens up with cinnamon and sugar coated apple jack cereal to the nose. On the palate it’s a balance of sweet fruit almost like a hand pie coated with sugar. It transforms into a little spice that lingers on the finish with a more grainy note like bowl of wheat. The finish is very long. Overall, excellent!100.0 USD per Bottle
