Tastes

Notes of tobacco and Honey, a hint of cinnamon on the finish. Not a lot of body, with a medium short finish. Prefer Old Bardstown BiB at the same price. Not sure I'd buy again

This is a very good, straight forward bourbon. Not overly complex, but man is it solid. Lots of oak, vanilla, dark fruits, with a long finish. Very solid bourbon for $50. I'm not usually a fan of 1792. I may have to give it a revisit and compare them side by side. This is pretty good.

This is my absolute favorite rye. I love the flavor profile that Willett is getting and I only wish I could find it in Virginia. Can't wait to try the older expressions of this one. Top notch.

Compared to Elijah Craig BP, this just doesn't cut the mustard for me. The high proof and spiciness overpowers most of the flavors and isn't as balanced as the EJBP. Not bad, just not amazing like I was hoping.

This is 3.5 stars for me. I haven't had them side by side, but I think I like Rittenhouse better, and it's a touch cheaper.
