Tastes

Umami (meaty) and a bit of cherry cola on the nose. Palate is smooth, with vanilla and a bit of spiciness, transitioning to a mustiness (sawdust?) with a hint of the cola returning. Drinkable pour, but nothing stands out. Bottle now says made and bottled in Ohio. When will the Somerset, Ky. distillery be completed?

Toffee and barrel char on the nose. Palate shows vanille cream nd plenty of spiciness. Medium finish contains cardamom fading to a more general spiciness.

Vanilla and a bit of cinnamon on the nose. The palate provides a dominent and lovely honey flavor with a bit of spiciness, turning dry on the tip of the tongue, with a finish that's fairly short, but continuing dry and sawdusty (pencil shavings is a good description).

This one is hard to pin down, but I'm impressed. Cherrywood and vanilla, perhaps a little leather on the nose. Palate is sweet, fruity and smoky. Finish is medium-long, staying sweet with a fruitwood character. Closest single malt to this I've tsted is Copper Fox Peachwood, but this is not as smoky.

Leather on the nose, with undercurrents of spice and a bit of vanilla. Palate gives cherries, general sweetness and slight spiciness. Faitly short finish with more cherries and spice.

Nose is caramel and cinnamon. Taste is dominent honey, with an overtone of spice. Finish continues the honey, fading to a more generic sweetness, with caramel and spice at the end. My palate says the honey substantially dominates the spiciness. 1 litre bottle.
