Tastes

Peanuts, acetone, and bubble gum on the nose. Peanuts, brown sugar, dark berry fruit, ending lightly with dill on the palate. Palate hangs on in a light to medium finish.

Pleasing nose with crème brûlée and caramel. Sweet shortbread and white chocolate on the palate, with a bit of spice. Medium finish. Best part of this whiskey is the nose.

Very satisfying. Quality sipper. Enjoyable all the way through. Sweetness and nuttiness comes through on the palate and finish.

At first it’s a sweet oily corn, with spicy vanilla, honey, caramel, and a hint of molasses to follow. Somewhere in the middle getting an ever so slight metallic tinge (slight, but good, adding to complexity). Absolutely love this on the rocks, as the water brings open the caramel and honey even more. Long, long, long caramel finish.

I would recommend this as a solid, versatile rye. Versatile as it is good as a sipper, with ice, or in a cocktail. Got this as a local barrell pick (Liquor Barrel).

Had a barrell pick from my local liquor store. This took a while to warm up to, but really liked it after it had a chance to open-up and breath a bit. (Butcher and the Boar, Liquor Barrell)

This one is worth your time. Solid bourbon with notes of honey, very drinkable, evan at cask strength. (Batch 4, bottle 232)
