Tastes

Very light. Huz says: "So drinkable I think I could chug it. I guess that means it's very smooth." Would prefer more "burn" or "kick." With water: Smells like toasted coconut. Leaves a pineapple taste in my mouth. We agree this one got more interesting with water.

Little bit more of a sting than the 12 or 14 year. Can taste the oak on the end. A little vanilla. Wife says it tastes like bubblegum. With water: I no longer taste bubblegum. Maybe pear? Huz says H2O smoothed it out, but I still felt a burn up my nose.

Less sweet than the 12 year. Very smooth--silky mouthfeel. Raisin or currant? Nut? With water: Smells like caramel. More of a bite up front.

Very pleasant. Sweet on the finish (vanilla?). No peat and lacks complexity of Corryvrecken. Huz likes it. "Good drinkin' scotch." With water: I taste honey now, but maybe only because I read the pro review, which mentioned it. Huz thinks the H2O smoothed it out a little, which doesn't thrill him.
