Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 2, 2022 (edited October 8, 2022)The nose is sweet and vanilla, classic bourbon aroma. Some cinnamon, and the port barrel finish is noticeable with a light red wine aroma. This whisky seem to coat the whole mouth and has an overall oily feel. It is rich, and there is a nice balance of sweetness and some spice. The Finish is warm and full, and the port barrels shine through again. Overall very similar to other bourbons at the price point, and even a bit less. The port barrel finish stands out and it is a very full bodied whisky.80.0 CAD per Bottle -
The nose is sweet, with some vanilla and cinnamon The mouth feel is oily and coats the tongue nicely. The palate is spice forward with an oaky and smoky background and a touch of sweetness. The flavours are very rich overall. The finish is oak, smoky, and spicy but not overwhelmingly. That mild spiciness is long lasting. A great sipper on its own and adds some fantastic depth to cocktails.

The nose is sweet, vanilla, and caramel. The palate is very spice dominant, warm, and the flavours are rich. The 120 proofing is bold but not overwhelming. The finish is vanilla, green apple, and brown sugar. That spice and warmth lasts a while too! A lovely sipper and with that extra proof adds a nice kick to your cocktails. I especially enjoy it in "boozy" cocktails such as a Boulevardier or Manhattan.60.0 CAD per Bottle
