Tastes

2007 is disappointing. Not a top contender in the $30 price range. Hard to find much on the nose other than faint caramel/vanilla and light peanuts. Taste is very one-dimensional. Smooth, but boring. Nothing stands out. I would not revisit the 2007. There are much more interesting and complex bourbons that can be had in this price range, such as the Russell's Reserve 10. Here's to hoping the 2008 delivers.
