3 year, 54.5% / 109 proof. Wow. The pickle brine description is spot on. The flavor is almost overwhelming and doesn't really go away. I can tell this is a complex rye, but the pickle/dill flavor is so assertive to my palate that I don't really find myself craving this one. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

The nose is really nice with that characteristic Jack Daniels sweetness. Upon tasting, the flavor dissipates quickly, leaving a thin, disappointing mouthfeel and flavor. Little to no complexity here. The upside: this is a great entry-level bottle or something to have on have for friends less versed in the world of bourbon. My Dad received this as a Christmas gift from work, so it's made for a nice mixer around the holidays.

The packing is the best part of this bourbon... Lackluster. 2.5/5 at best. Not worth the the $25-30 price tag. At $15, this might be a solid choice. Would recommend Buffalo Trace to anyone else considering this.

Pralines, raisins, espresso w/ cream on the nose. A wonderful rich and creamy sweetness. More flavors become apparent as it opens up. Rich, fruity characters on the palate followed up by toasty, buttered popcorn that has been cooked just a bit too long. Unique! Like nothing I've had before. Too sweet and too expensive to purchase again

Sipped at the Pope House in PDX. This one didn't meet the hype for me. Definitely enjoyable and worth another try or a purchase in the future. Wasn't expecting the strong cinnamon flavor to it. Could see this working better as a mixer in fancy cocktails than a bourbon sipped neat.
