Top shelf for sweet whiskey lovers. This is a sensational whiskey. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the slight acetone aroma on the nose. Beyond that, I get banana and heavy malt on the nose. The palate is extraordinary- citrus, gives way to a creamy richness and hints of cocoa. The flavour is incredibly deep and nuanced. Finish is slightly spicy but with a wonderful dried berries note. A must try for any malt lover.

For the price, you really cannot complain. Perhaps my only nitpick would be the lack of complexity. Drank neat, the pepper notes dominate and it's quite hard to find the citrus which I get on the nose. The finish is pure pepper and peat. This is one of the few whiskys I recommend to drink with an ice cube- it mellows the pepper down to a comfortable level.

For the price, ana amazing bourbon. Orange and spice on the nose, turns in to an orange zest bomb on the palate. Further notes of vanilla and oak come through. Finish is spicy and long lasting. The finish is definitely the best part of this whiskey which benefits from the higher rye levels of the mashbill. This is a fantastic bourbon for an old fashioned- the orange notes compliment the cocktail when made with orange rind.
