Classification: Straight Bourbon Company: Heaven Hill Distillery: Heaven Hill Release Date: Ongoing Proof: 92 Age: NAS (Aged at least 4 years per TTB regulations) Mashbill: 68% Corn, 20% Wheat, 12% Malted Barley Cherry, cinammon, spice finish.

Stinebrink’s Cellar barrel pick 85. Despite the young age, it does taste decent with a very sweet overriding tone. Light body. Not bad, but there is a bit too much straight ethanol smell on the nose that brings this down for me.

Batch 93. This is deep with a bit of a port and woody nose, but it’s a little too harsh and too many musty off flavors.

Sweet and spicy with butterscotch notes. A teeny bit of funk ans some slight arrificial flavor notes throw me off.

Super hot neat. I needed 3 small ice chips to open it up more and ease the burn (could have done more)

Fine Irish whiskey but the addition of the oak, and especially the sherry casks, gives this a little more depth, spice, and vanilla notes.

I don’t hate it, but it is NOT as smooth compared to other bourbons like Evan Williams that are much cheaper. Too much noticeable alcohol burn in the nose and in the finish (i can feel this burn down my throat/chest). Taste is good, very rye and baking spices forward, cherry; I could see this being a good base for a holiday cocktail. I am not a rye whiskey fan but I can see rye fans liking this a lot more.

Light bodied, almost artificial flavors and astringent alcohol burn and after taste. Don’t even like this in cocktails.

Smooth. Honey, melon, cereal, almost some sake notes in the profile. Only slight burn at the end and slight bitter finish. Very drinkable/sessionable.

Char, caramel, spice. Not amazingly smooth, but not too harsh either. Cheap but still very solid. Could be my new go to cheap bourbon for cocktails.
