Nice installment. Wife and I both got orange on the nose. Palette is more caramel with a slight citrus undertone. Finish is smooth and long. A little chocolate, a little vanilla, a lingering peppermint.

A bit different from WhistlePig’s usual offerings. Color is rather light, but this belies the punch of the first sip. Nice spice off the top with a slight sweetness following and the spice returning for a long finish. 45% rye, 30% wheat and a higher barley content at 25% make up the mash bill. A blend of whiskeys from Canada and Vermont based on fan votes from home during the early days of Covid make this an interesting collaboration. Maybe not worth the $70 price tag, but a decent whiskey. No regrets in buying it, but probably won’t buy a second bottle.

A bit leathery, but decent. Prefer their Last Feather Rye alternative.

This is OHLQ (Ohio exclusive) Toasted Caramel bottle. Barrel 3275, 121.42 proof. Great aroma of caramel and vanilla. Solid mouthfeel. Pleasant burn upfront, with caramel notes breaking through and a nice oaky finish. Really enjoying this bottle.

Surprisingly nice. Good initial taste of spice and leather with a bit of char. Mellows to a nice vanilla and has a log oaky finish. Melting whiskey rock opens up some more sweetness in the middle without diluting the spice or finish.

Very nice. Spicy up front, which is a bit different for a Tenn Whiskey. Vanilla comes on and a pleasant finish. May not be a constant in the home cabinet, but may make it there frequently.

A bit young, in that the flavor isn’t overly rich, but a pleasant spearmint and clove that doesn’t overpower. I like it a bit better than my high rye, high proof loving wife. Can understand why some are recommending for cocktails, but I will enjoy it with a whiskey rock without complaint.

Good, solid rye. Not quite as good as Last Feather Rye, solid entry with spice and vanilla. Any Journeyman offering is a worthwhile taste or purchase.

Really well balanced bourbon, which makes sense since the mash build is 25% each corn, rye, barley and wheat. Enjoyable.

A great rye. Wonderful balance and a depth of flavor. Good spice, but not overpowering.
