Green apple and caramel on the nose. Sweet, malty and a hint of raw sugar on the palate. Surprising lingering tingle on the finish. Nice.

Pleasant sipper. Slight fruit on the nose, maybe apple? No overpowering note on the tongue, but rather smoke, oak and baking spice intertwined. No legs to speak of, but mouthfeel isn’t thin. A short, but sweet finish. Very enjoyable.

Tastes exactly as I expected… higher proof of Weller SR. Smooth, but a bit hotter due to the proof. Cinnamon, oak and a lingering sweetness. Excellent pour. I understand why people are excited to find a bottle.

A good deal of rye pepper spice is forward in this bourbon. Tastes like a higher proofer as a result. Still some fruit sweetness underneath gives it a depth that regular Bulleit doesn’t have. I usually think of Bulleit pours as great mixers, but this one sips straight very nicely.

Solid rye. Should be a good mixer, but I enjoyed it over a whiskey rock. Has the basic rye notes of pepper, grass and clove. Aged 4 years, but not overly oaky. Pleasant finish, although brief. First to be stamped with Indiana Rye Seal.

Pretty easy sipper. Definitely some fruit and floral notes. Not a lot of bite for a 35% Rye mash. Short, malty finish. Not sorry I bought it. Might not buy it again. Update: tasted a bit better coming back to the bottle a couple weeks later.

Nice depth and balanced flavors in this whiskey. The oak comes through, as you would expect from a triple barrel offering, but doesn’t overwhelm the caramel, vanilla and maple tones. A slight pepper note keeps this from being too sweet. Nice finish, but didn’t linger. Good buy.

Surprisingly deep flavor for a high proofer (118). Like the Musician offering has nice citrus notes with pecan and vanilla underneath. Worth trying for sure.

Really nice balanced bourbon. Depth of flavor including citrus, vanilla and some pecan. Nice sipper.

Nice easy sipping Irish whisky. Some citrus notes and maybe a little vanilla. Creamy on the tongue. Goes down smooth.
