Tastes

Nose: Summer fruit like peach or apricots. Cinnamon and fenel punctuate the expression with bits of toffee and oak filling the cracks. Taste: Cinnamon spice and learher greet the front of the palate with oak and green pepper in the rear. Mouthfeel: Warming with medium viscosity. Finish: Oak and spices linger and feed through the entire sinus. This was a small batch, store pick.

Method: over a large round ice. Nose: Banana and caramel. Vanilla accompanies. This is hot on the nose with tons of proof. Nutty notes hit the back of the sinus. Taste: Banana, spice and oak. Banana peel and oak stay on the back of the throat near the nasal sinus. Finish: 5 min warming with great coating on the mouth. The drink lingers to the next. This was a store pick.

Method: neat Nose: apple, cinnamon and steak seasoning. With a bit more seeking, I noticed vanilla and brown sugar. The oak is subtle. Taste: warming proof and oak. Apple with vanilla. The oak lingers and it has a high-middle viscosity. Finish: Lingering oak and spice with a Kentuky hug.

Nose: Plum, Cherry, and honey with vanilla hints. Oak notes finish a “waved-under-the-nose” smell. Taste: cherry and honey dominate while cooking spice and oak coat the rear palate.
