This bourbon is probably the best value you can find. It is the perfect bourbon for any boozy bourbon cocktail, with enough vanilla, caramel, and fruit to have that classic bourbon character, but it spicy and funky and complex. People overlook WT101 as something for a more unsavory crowd. But this stuff at 101 proof is tough to beat. You can drink it neat, with a splash of water. It stands up to mixers and cocktails if that is your thing. Maybe the only thing I’ve tried with WT101 that did t quite do it for me is a sour. It is a little proofy for a sour in my opinion. It’s flavor profile is not extremely complementary to the lemon. But it is great in a boulevardier, makes the best Old Fashioned for any bourbon in the price range, and is also great in a fancy free cocktail with maraschino liqueur.

Solid rye. A little rough around the edges when neat, but the flavor profile is very good. Great for cocktails, and decent on its own. Not my favorite rye, but one of the standard selections at the price point.

This bourbon checks a lot of boxes for me. It is a good proof to stand up to cocktails and ice. It is complex and smooth, so great for sipping neat. It has a great blend of sweet fruit and butterscotch notes and well as spicy green pepper from the rye. The price for a bourbon this versatile is what really makes it for me. I don’t feel bad making a sour or an old fashioned with it, but it is also wonderful on its own

A lot of vanilla and caramel with some fruity notes, maybe a bit of sour cherry. Great bourbon for mixing or a midweek dram, but not overly complex or stellar in any way. For the price, it is excellent
