July 4th, 2026. 2.25 stars (somewhere around a 72-73 for me, "lacking key components") Rating the 2021 edition batch #1. Color is golden amber. The nose smells like grain neutral spirits, the taste isnt much better. This blended "whiskey" is definitely lacking key components. The mash bill claims 80% indiana straight whiskey (99% corn) and 20% japanese whiskey (55% grain, 45% barley). Even at $30 a bottle this is a stretch for quality as theres many others out there which are better. The flavors it does have are disjointed and non-harmonious.30.0 USD per Bottle

Single Malts of Scotland Craigellachie 11 year old Cask Strength 2011
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed June 8, 2026I had the Craigellachie 11 year by duncan taylor. Mine was a single cask release, distilled 1999, bottled 2011; aged in sherry octave casks. Cask #750375, 53.7% abv, and the bottling information said only 71 bottls were produced. 4 star, 90/100. Darker than a pale straw maybe similar in color to a hefeweizen beer. Nose is soft for being a higher proof, a fruity. Oak tannins, caramel, white sherry. Balanced and flavorful. -
High 80's rating from me, like 88-89, which for me puts this at average+ before getting into something particularly special; a potential daily drinker, or the weekly splurge at about $60USD, but too much more and you risk being disappointed. Its unique, and has a smokey, charcoal characteristic. No major flaws in quality, well rounded, and a fun expression thats different than major american rye whiskey.60.0 USD per Bottle
