Soft, sweet and simple. A layer of ethanol is joined by a bit of acetone when the pour is fresh. Honey and caramel forward, with a fast finish that has just a dash of fruit. Ice homogenizes the whole spectrum, but doesn't make it any better. Okay neat with a beer to toss back, but I'm definitely not buying another bottle. Not a good value and I'd rather be drinking Tullamore DEW.34.0 USD per Bottle

Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 15, 2019 (edited January 7, 2020)Tasted neat in a rocks glass. Very easy drinker. Fruity Turkey DNA but presented with a mild profile that harkens me of the drinkability of Blanton's. I like this a LOT more than Longbranch.32.99 USD per Bottle -

Witherspoon's Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed July 17, 2019 (edited August 15, 2019)Brassy and harsh, the taste is young and hot w/ dry cinnamon, burnt toast, browned butter and a glimmer of sweet vanilla. This might be a mixer, but NOT a sipper. Benefits from a lot of time in the glass. -
Right in the middle of the bell curve, this is a wholly ordinary large-volume whiskey. Unlike the Northern Harvest rye, this expression has little in the way of depth or complexity. Simple sweet cream and vanilla notes, a taste of char with the slightest hint of smoke, a bit of ethanol that emerges mid pallet and a fast finish with just a slight echo of white pepper. Drinkable but not remarkable. Average.27.0 USD per Bottle
