Tastes

The nose sweet and there are notes of acetone and ethanol. Clearly a young whiskey, but not harsh. After a rest, notes of fresh corn, slight vanilla, and fresh oak make their way forward. The low proof is given away on the first sip. Tasty, but simple. Light, a bit one-note.

Something new! Light, sweet, nice flavor. A little lightweight, but good complexity. A little touch of cedar, some rye spice, super approachable. I like it a lot better than the old forester rye. This would be an easy four-star pick for me if it was a 100 proof. It just needs a little more age & horsepower

A follow up on this bourbon. I thought it a bit brash when solo, but it makes a classic ginger ale high ball that is excellent. 2 parts ginger ale to 1part VOB

Beautifully light, floral, creamy. There's a sweet note of vanilla followed by a slow, finish that's peppery on the back of the tongue. It's lacking in complexity, but it's tasty

Sweet and nicely rounded. Touch of cherry on the nose. Just a wisp of Barrell. Smooth and approachable - not a demanding quaff.

On a large cube... Volatile nose w rye spice, alcohol, corn mash. Spicy, peppery, slight barrel char, creamed corn

Sweet up front, strong corn mash, peppery rye and char on the tongue. Short finish w heat. Ice is the way to go. Maybe good mixer or base for infusions
