Speyburn Bradan Orach
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed June 12, 2015 (edited April 8, 2017)Not all that great. Primary reason for buying a $25 single malt is because I plan on smuggling it on a cruise in a listerene bottle. I didn't want to risk having a nice scotch confiscated if I get busted. I will take my cheap scotch over paying for $10 beers. -
Glenlivet 18 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed June 12, 2015 (edited December 25, 2022)Received this bottle as a gift, I believe it runs in the $85 to $90 range. Very good though, on my top shelf. -

Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited June 5, 2015)Spent $55 for a bottle. It wasn't bad, but wasn't my favorite in that price range. I would take the Glenlivet 12 over this one (and $15 less) or Aberlour 12y ($50) -
Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited November 26, 2018)Bought this one during a Christmas special, for $40 I got the bottle and 2 Glenmorangie scotch glasses. I love those glasses, and thought he scotch was very smooth. -
Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited May 10, 2015)This is a good "go to" to have on hand at all times. It is very affordable, and to me is smoother than the Glenfiddich 12, those were my first 2 scotches. -
This was a good starter scotch for someone wanting to dabble before figuring out their thing. Not bad, but I probably wouldn't buy again just based on all the other options available after figuring out my tastes. As far as starter scotches go for newbies, I would push them to the Glenlivet 12y over this one.
