I am partial to the Speyside and Highland regions but will give any Scotch a chance. I drink it neat, don't care for too much peat/smoke, and tend to stay under $60 a bottle.

I was surprised how smooth it was, all in all a very pleasant surprise in an 8 year old. I hesitated to purchase since it was only an 8 year old. Glad I chose to buy something I hadnt tried.

I should clarify my low score, i never lean towards that much smoke and peat, just doesn’t fit my flavor profile. But if you like Islay scotches, you would love this one. I had to try it just because we were in Scotland.
