Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited November 26, 2018)Bought this one during a Christmas special, for $40 I got the bottle and 2 Glenmorangie scotch glasses. I love those glasses, and thought he scotch was very smooth. -
Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited May 10, 2015)This is a good "go to" to have on hand at all times. It is very affordable, and to me is smoother than the Glenfiddich 12, those were my first 2 scotches. -
This was a good starter scotch for someone wanting to dabble before figuring out their thing. Not bad, but I probably wouldn't buy again just based on all the other options available after figuring out my tastes. As far as starter scotches go for newbies, I would push them to the Glenlivet 12y over this one.

Highland Park 12 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed March 9, 2015 (edited April 24, 2018)I thought the highland park 12 was good, not great. At $50, there are others I would go to first. If I did a taste test between this and the Aberfeldy 12Y, I don't think I could tell one from the other. -
I know this is a highly popular scotch among many, Personally I am just not a big fan of the peat and smoke. To me, the LQC has a medicinal smell with a bit of smoke, and is just a bit too "earthy" for my tastes. For folks that are a fan of the Islay region, you would enjoy this one. I am more of a Speyside and Highland guy.

Reviewed March 8, 2015 (edited March 19, 2015)Love the Nadurra, even though it is 108 proof it is still smooth. No idea on the cost since it was a gift, but I believe it is in the $75 range. -
